In Perfex to SaaS Module, you have the option to specify a different base host name to be used for all tenants. By default, SaaS module generates subdomains for tenants using Perfex CRM installation url hostname, but with the alternative base host setting, you can customize this to suit your needs.
Step 1: Accessing the Setting
To configure the alternative base host, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Perfex CRM admin panel.
- Navigate to the SaaS > Settings section.

Once you’re in the Saas & Superadmin settings, locate the following option:
- Alternative Base Host: This field allows you to specify a different base host name for all tenants.

Here’s what you need to know about configuring the alternative base host:
- By default, Perfex to SaaS Module generates subdomains for tenants based on the main CRM domain. For example, if your CRM is set up on app.yourdomain.com, the default subdomain for tenants would be tenantid.app.yourdomain.com.
- If you prefer a different format for the tenant URLs, such as tenantid.yourdomain.com, you can set the alternative base host to yourdomain.com.
- Ensure that you have a wildcard DNS record set up for the alternative domain. This is necessary to handle dynamic subdomains for tenants.
- The alternative domain can even be a completely different domain from your main CRM domain. Just ensure that its wildcard subdomain (i.e., *) is pointed to your CRM installation.
Step 4: Saving and Testing
After configuring the alternative base host, remember to save your changes. You can then test the setup by creating a new tenant or accessing existing tenant URLs to ensure they reflect the desired structure.
